As Mom and a pediatric dietitian, I've been where you are. I know feeding kids can be challenging!

I thought that because I was a pediatric dietitian and knew the theory behind kids' nutrition, I wouldn't have any difficulties feeding my kids, but boy, was I wrong! The first lesson in parenthood: Parenting is hard!

I felt overwhelmed by the amount of nutrition information; I felt I was failing as a parent if my kids didn't like broccoli, and I couldn't help to feel guilty. I kept asking myself, "Am I a good parent?"

Not to mention, the cultural expectations parents face are often ones that kids need to be "perfect eaters" and create Pinterest-perfect meals. (P.S there is is no such thing as a perfect eater or perfect nutrition!)

I knew then there had to be a better way to feed kids: without stress, competition, or feeling judged.

My motto as a Mom and Pediatric dietitian is this:
"Let's strive for balance, not perfection!" 

Healthy eating is not an all-or-nothing approach. I help families transform their kids' nutrition by teaching them how to create balanced and positive meals, move away from moralizing food as good or bad and be able to enjoy foods in a positive, balanced way. I’m here to help you achieve the same, backed by more than 15 years of pediatric experience.

Who is behind Nutrichicos?

I'm Marina

I’m guessing you’re here because you are struggling with your kid's nutrition. Besides being a pediatric registered dietitian for more than 13 years I’m a Mexican-American busy mom entrepreneur of two girls. Feeding kids can be challenging but I’m here to tell you it doesn’t need to be. My goal is to empower you and give you the tools you need to raise positive and healthy eaters.
